Girls Night in Cashel Palace
Cashel Palace, Co, Tipperary
OK so the weather was amazing - pure blue skies and sunshine. And yes, the company was equally amazing - 3 close friends of many years here to celebrate a ‘big’ birthday year - for one night only………
I promised them it would be amazing but I didn’t expect it to be 100% true.
We arrived at the perfect time - our room wasn’t quite ready so we had to go for a drink on the terrace……in the sunshine. We checked in and subsequently moved to a drink in the upper garden - so peaceful, so relaxing and so warm for an Irish May - we massively exceeded our recommended Vitamin D.
The stunning drawing room.
Oozing charm and old world fabulousness.
We went to The Bishops Buttery for dinner and had a fabulous experience from start to finish. The food and service were second to none. When you have 3 girls together who don’t see each other that often, the food can become secondary - but the quality and presentation ensured it remained centre stage.
I wasn’t sure what to order and went for sole - simply because in my memory, my mother always ordered sole as a real treat. It came out completely different to what I expected but was absolutely delicious and melt in the mouth.
The breakfast the next morning was so lovely - we ate in the Queen Anne Room which lended such ambiance and luxury to the whole experience. We were served beautifully cooked breakfasts (poached eggs were just right) and everything was just as it should have been.
We had the best overnight stay in Cashel Palace - everything was perfect - we wouldn’t have changed a thing.
